# Format your micro SD card

# How to format your SD card from the Tikee Remote mobile app ?

|| Formatting the SD card deletes all its contents, make sure to backup your data before formatting.
 
1. Turn on your Tikee and [connect via Bluetooth](/en/article/connect-to-your-tikee-with-bluetooth-1bwzz6b/) from the Tikee Remote mobile app.

2. Go to "Advanced".

3. Choose "Format" in "SD card".

4. Validate the confirmation message to start formatting.

Your SD card is now formatted in Exfat format. All its content has been deleted.

# Which format should you use to format your SD card from a computer ?

Cards of 128 GB and more should be formatted in Exfat format. For other smaller cards, use the Fat32 format.
