Update your Tikee

The latest version of the firmware is compatible with all versions of Tikee (including older versions).

Download the latest update here.
The file must be named TikeeUpdate.fw.

When to update your Tikee ?

New versions of the firmware bring you new features and improve the reliability of your Tikee.

Updating your Tikee is not mandatory for every new release of the firmware. It won't impact your ongoing recording. We still recommend that you update your Tikee regularly during your project (about every 4 to 6 months) and before each new installation.
If you have to go on site, take the opportunity to update your Tikee.

If the firmware version of your Tikee is in orange on your dashboard on myTikee, you need to update your Tikee as soon as possible.

How to update your Tikee from the cloud?

Updating from the cloud is only available on versions 4.0.0 and later. For earlier versions, please update your Tikee from the SD card.

If your Tikee's battery level is under 50%, please plug it in a power source.

Perform a connection test (4G or WiFi) to make sure that your Tikee is connected to the internet.

Go to "Advanced".

Choose "From cloud" in Firmware update.

Slide the "Slide to update" button.

How to update the firmware of your Tikee camera remotely?

Only possible with a Tikee able to use the Always On mode

Go to your account on myTikee

Select “My Tikees” in the left menu and click on your camera serial number.

To contact your Tikee, click on “Always On” then select "Upgrade firmware" and click on "Validate".

Your Tikee will connect to myTikee to download the latest firmware version in the next following minutes. It will then install the new firmware and reconnect to the platform. It takes a few minutes for your Tikee to be fully updated.

If you have an ongoing sequence, your Tikee will pause it to install the update and then restart it by itself once the update is done.
