Images upload modes

How do the images upload mode work ?

The Tikee PRO2+, Tikee 3 PRO and Tikee 3 PRO+ have 3 upload modes available. The other versions of Tikees only have the Normal mode.

The upload modes are only available for long term sequences. More information on sequences.

Normal

Choice of send rate with send threshold. This send threshold defines the minimum number of images before the Tikee connects to send them.
By default, it is set to 25 images. In this mode, the Tikee connects at least every 24 hours.

This sending interval can be changed and affects the battery life of the device.

Example : Normal mode activated, threshold set to 15, the Tikee will wait until it has 15 photos available before sending them.

Minimal

The Tikee connects every 24 hours at the selected time and sends the last captured image. This mode saves energy and data while keeping a regular feedback.

Other photos captured by the Tikee are stored on the microSD card, so please allow enough space.

Example: Minimal mode activated, set to 3pm. The Tikee connects at 3pm every day, and sends a single photo (the last one available).

Sample

The Tikee sends the last captured image with a periodicity defined by the chosen sending threshold. This sending mode saves energy and data while keeping the feedback even more regular.

Other photos captured by the Tikee are stored on the microSD card, so make sure you have enough space.

Example : Sample mode activated, threshold set to 5. The Tikee will send 1 image for every 5 images taken.

How to set the images upload mode from the myTikee cloud platform?

On your Tikee page on myTikee, go to "Configure the camera".

Then in Upload Mode, choose the upload mode you want and set the upload threshold or connection time according to the mode you choose.

A change in send mode is not retroactive, but only applies to new images taken by the camera.

For example, in the case of a change from Sample to Normal mode, all images already stored on the SD card will not be sent by the camera and will have to be retrieved manually from the SD card. Only new images, taken after changing the upload mode, will be sent to your myTikee account.

How to set the images upload mode from the Tikee Remote mobile application?

Turn on your Tikee and connect via Bluetooth from the Tikee Remote mobile application.

Go to "Upload".

Choose the upload mode you want and set the send threshold or connection time according to the mode you choose.

What to do if the upload parameters cannot be edited on myTikee?

Please check the version of your Tikee. Sample and Minimal modes are only available with a Tikee PRO2+, Tikee 3 PRO or Tikee 3PRO+.

If the Normal upload mode cannot be edited, the version of your Tikee is obsolete.
