Manual upload of images on myTikee

How does the manual upload of images work on myTikee?

On myTikee, you can upload images directly from your computer.

It is possible to add images edited with a photo editing software such as Lightroom, as long as the images exifs remain the same.

Manually uploading images can be used to:

Create a point of view for a sequence without photo upload by the Tikee: you can upload the images saved on your Tikee's micro SD card to myTikee a posteriori, in a new point of view (when using the Tikee offline, for example).

Complete an existing point of view: you can add images to a point of view created and supplied in images automatically by your Tikee.

Create a point of view with single images: you can upload single images (right or left or already stitched) from a Tikee, or images from any other camera as long as you respect the minimum resolution allowed on myTikee, i.e. 1920x1080 pixels.

A minimum of 100 images (or pairs of images) are needed to create a timelapse video on myTikee.

All the images in a Point of view must have the same resolution. If you upload images with different resolutions in a new point of view, myTikee will only select the smallest images.

How to create a point of view for a sequence without photo upload by the Tikee?

Recover the content of your micro SD card

Check if you have only original images (named XXXXXX_LEFT or XXXXXX_RIGHT) or resized images (named XXXXXX_LEFT_resized or XXXXXX_RIGHT_resized).

Connect to your myTikee account using Google Chrome.

In your points of view, click on the blue "+" to create a new one.

Choose "images pairs" to upload right and left images.

Rename your point of view with the name (and maybe the date) of your project.

Click on "Add some" on the right.

Drag and drop your images pairs into the window that opens or click on "Add Files" to open the folder with your images.
Add at least 100 pairs of images (200 photos) of the same resolution.

If you have original images AND resized images (see step 2), the myTikee platform will use the resized images in your point of view. If you want to use the original images, upload ONLY original images to myTikee.

Once you have selected your images, click on "Check files" and then on "Upload".

A progress bar appears on the top right corner to follow the progress of your upload.

Click on save at the bottom right of the page.

Unstitched images are available in your point of view as soon as they are downloaded. Stitched images will be available within a few hours.

If your stitched images are not available after several hours, check that you have uploaded at least 100 pairs of images. If this is the case, we recommend that you contact our support team.

How to complete an existing point of view with images from your Tikee's SD card?

Recover the content of your micro SD card.

Check that your images waiting to be uploaded were taken from the same point of view as those already on myTikee. If your camera was moved between the 2 batches of images, the stitching between the right and left mages may be incorrect.

Check that the resolution of your images waiting to be uploaded is similar to the resolution of the images already on myTikee. You can't have images with different resolutions in the same point of view.

If you have original images (named XXXXXX_LEFT or XXXXXX_RIGHT) and resized images (named XXXXXX_LEFT_resized or XXXXXX_RIGHT_resized), the resized images will have the correct resolution.

Connect to your myTikee account using Google Chrome.

Open the point of view i which you want to add images by clicking on the green pencil.

Click on "Add some" in the Photos tile on the right.

Drag and drop your photos into the window that opens or click on "Add Files" to open the folder containing your images.

If you are adding photos in a point of view with panoramic images from Tikee, please upload pairs of images. If you are uploading your images in a point of view with right OR left images, please upload images from the same lens.

Once you have selected your images, click on "Check Files" and then "Upload".

A progress bar will appear in the upper right corner to follow the progress of your upload.

Click on save at the bottom right of the page.
The stitched images are available in your point of view within 15-30 minutes after being uploaded.

If your images are not available after several hours, please check that the resolution of your images matches the resolution of the images already in the point of view. If this is the case, we recommend that you contact our support team.
