Tikee internet connection
How does the Tikee internet connection work?
Your Tikee can be connected to the internet in 4G LTE with a SIM card and a subscription from the operator of your choice or in WiFi if you have a WiFi network at the installation site.
With an internet connection, you can remotely:
check the status of your Tikee
view the images taken by your Tikee (and share them in real time)
create a new shooting sequence
modify your current or planned shooting sequence
synchronize your Tikee at any time with the Always On mode (Tikee 3 PRO, Tikee 3 PRO+, Tikee 4 and Tikee mini only)
Your Tikee regularly connects to the Internet to update its status and send photos. You then have access to all this information on your myTikee account. It's possible to set the connection frequency of your Tikee.
The 4G LTE connection only works with an AT&T SIM card in the US.
How to calculate the monthly data volume needed for your SIM card?
You can calculate this information with our Timelapse Planner
How to connect your Tikee to a 4G network and perform a connection test?
The first setting of your Tikee's internet connection is only available from the Tikee Remote mobile application
Insert an active micro SIM card in the slot provided for this purpose on the back panel of the Tikee.
Turn on your Tikee and connect via Bluetooth from the Tikee Remote mobile application.
Go to "Network".
Select LTE to connect your Tikee to a 4G network with your SIM card.
Fill in the fields provided by your mobile operator.
APN: This field is mandatory, most of the time you can find it on your telecom provider website or on your line opening letter
PIN : This is the PIN code of the SIM card. Leave blank if PIN is disabled.
User : To be filled only if provided by your mobile operator (These are not Enlaps identifiers)
Password: To be filled only if provided by your mobile operator (These are not Enlaps identifiers)
PIN 2 : To be filled in if provided by your mobile operator
Once the parameters are filled in, click on : "Save" and then on "Test connection".
This step may take a few minutes because the Tikee will check all the steps involved in connecting the Tikee to the myTikee cloud platform server.
At the end of the test, you will receive a notification informing you of the success or failure of the test.
How do I connect your Tikee to a WiFi network and perform a connection test?

What to do if your 4G connection test fails?
Make sure your SIM card is locked in place (clickable) and inserted the right way round, with the chip facing down.
Check that your SIM card is activated and unlocked by your provider by testing it in a cell phone.
Check your login credentials. The APN and PIN code are sufficient for most operators. This information can be found in the account-opening documentation provided by your SIM card provider.
Be careful, several attempts with incorrect login credentials can block the SIM card.
Make sure that a network is available with sufficient signal strength on site (test it with a cell phone that uses the same network from the same provider if necessary).
Do a WIFI connection test (possible with your phone's wireless access point).
If the WIFI and 4G tests still fail, update of the device to reset the connection.
What to do if your WiFi connection test fails?
Check your login credentials.
Make sure that the network is working properly (e.g., use another device such as a phone or computer).
Check the security type chosen (usually WPA2-PSK).
If the WIFI and 4G tests still fail, update of the device to reset the connection.
The connection is not possible on Wi-Fi networks that require a connection to a web portal (which is often the case on an industrial site or on free Wi-Fi networks).
