Images saved on SD card

A micro SD card is required to use your Tikee. It can't take pictures without a micro SD card.

If your micro SD card is full, Tikee will not be able to take pictures.

If your micro SD card is full, the Tikee will not be able to take pictures.

This article details the type of SD card compatible with your Tikee.

How does storing images on the micro SD card work?

All the images taken by the Tikee are saved on the micro SD card.

When setting up your sequence, you can choose to send the images taken by your camera to myTikee (only for long-term or burst sequences). To do this, you need to connect your Tikee to the internet.

Once the image upload is activated, the images are taken by the Tikee, saved on the SD card and then sent to myTikee. You then have the option of keeping a copy of the images on the micro SD card.

Save the images on the micro SD card:

If you have deactivated this feature, the images will be deleted from the micro SD card after being received on myTikee. So your micro SD card is never filled.

If you have activated this feature, a copy of the images will be kept on the micro SD card. Be careful, once your micro SD card is full, you'll have to remember to empty it so that your Tikee can continue to take pictures.

If you use your Tikee offline, the images are necessarily saved on the micro SD card.

Remember to allow enough space to store all the images for your project with our Timelapse Planner.

How to check the available space on your SD card?

Next to your Tikee:

On the Tikee Remote mobile app, the available space on the SD card is available on the Tikee page.

Remotely:

On the myTikee cloud platform, the available space on the micro SD card is available on the Tikee page or on your Tikee Dashboard.

This information is from the last time your Tikee connected to myTikee.

When the internet connection is lost (WiFi or 4G/3G), are the pictures saved?

In all cases, the photos are saved on the SD card before being sent. Then, and according to your settings :

If the "Save a copy on the SD card" option is activated, the photos are kept even after it has been sent to myTikee.

If the "Save a copy on the SD card" option is deactivated, the photos are deleted only once they have been received on myTikee.
In the event of an error when uploading to myTikee (lost connection / exhausted plan / weak or fluctuating network), the images are not deleted from the SD card

How to delete the contents of the SD card?

You'll have to go to your Tikee to delete the contents of your SD card.

You have 2 options:

Format the micro SD card from the Tikee Remote mobile application: this will delete all the contents of the SD card.

Remove the Tikee micro card and empty its contents from your computer.

To do this:

Connect to your Tikee via Bluetooth.

Pause your sequence by pressing the Stop button on the Tikee page of the mobile application.

Only long-term sequences can be paused and restarted. If you pause a short term sequence (event or burst), it will not restart.

Remove the SD card from the Tikee and empty its contents on your computer.

Reinsert the micro SD card in your Tikee.

Check the available space on the micro SD card from the Tikee page of the mobile application: this means that your micro SD card is being read by your Tikee.

Format the micro SD card in the advanced settings of the mobile application.

Restart your long term sequence by pressing the Start button on the Tikee page of the mobile application.
